Knee Surgery
BEAR ACL Reconstruction
Traditionally, ACL reconstruction involves the use of a tendon graft to reconstruct the ligament. In many cases, patients are unable to return to the same level of activity they had pre-injury even if the surgery is successful. Dr. Sigman is offering a new option: the BEAR ACL implant. With BEAR ACL reconstruction, a tendon graft is not needed. The torn ACL is restored to a similar size and quality as it was pre-injury, and patients can recover muscle strength more quickly.
Total Knee Replacement with Patient-Specific Instrumentation
Everyone’s anatomy is unique, and Dr. Sigman believes that the implants and instruments used during the procedure should be the best fit for the patient. Dr. Sigman uses the DePuy Synthes TRUMATCH™ Personalized Solutions system and ATTUNE™ Knee System to customize the procedure, implant position, and fit for each patient. The result is better alignment and stability of the knee replacement, which leads to more satisfactory long-term results.

Rotator Cuff Repair with ConMed BioBrace
The healing and rehabilitation process for traditional rotator cuff repair can be quite long and painful. Dr. Sigman is offering the ConMed BioBrace, an implant comprised of a combination of synthetic and biologic materials. The BioBrace encourages tendon healing and improves the strength of the repaired tendon, which can in turn reduce recovery time and pain during healing.
Rotator Cuff Repair with REGENETEN
Another option that Dr. Sigman offers to improve upon the long and painful healing process of a rotator cuff repair is the REGENETEN Bioinductive Implant. REGENETEN is a bovine collagen patch that encourages tendon healing and improves the strength of the repaired tendon. Patients are able to return to activity sooner, which can lead to quicker recovery.
Pain control is necessary after surgery to allow patients to participate in physical therapy and rehabilitative exercises, but opioids are too risky to use throughout the recovery period.
A leader in opioid-sparing orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Sigman offers several options to effectively control post-surgical pain without addictive opioid medications. Pain management options include bupivacaine liposome injectable suspension (EXPAREL), long-acting nerve blocks (iovera°), long-acting anesthetic (ZYNRELEF), and laser therapy (OrthoLazer).
Laser Therapy
Dr. Scott Sigman is offering laser therapy, an alternative to opioid pain management for many orthopaedic conditions, as well as post-surgical recovery. Laser therapy is FDA-cleared to treat pain and inflammation. The treatment is noninvasive, fully automated, and completely safe. There is no downtime after treatment, and patients typically see results within an average of 7-10 treatments.
